Currently, Google has nearly 80% of computer searches and 95% of mobile searches. In fact, Google processes more than 40,000 searches per second, which translates into more than 3.5 billion searches per day and 1.2 trillion searches per year. And it is reported that Google is one of the world's most active supporters of blockchain startups.
Google has 140 equity investments totaling about $ 1.2 billion in the blockchain business. The question persists, why Google was not built or added blockchain to its search functionality?
Many believe, however, that a role of this significance should not be entrusted to one company. Having a single entity in charge is awkward because it can operate in an opaque manner.
